The Seasons You Never Want to Forget

Here's something nobody tells you.

I've learned that life has funny timing.

It gives you exactly one wedding day.

Exactly one chance to bring your newborn home.

One first birthday, one graduation, one ordinary Tuesday when everyone just happened to be together.

And somehow, while you're busy living those moments, they quietly become the stories you tell years later.

Maybe that's why people always say, "I wish we had more photos."

Not because they weren't there.

Because they didn't realize they were living the good old days.

For the Big Days, the Little Moments, and Everything That Comes After

Life doesn't stop after one milestone, and neither do I.

The best compliment I could ever receive isn't hearing that you love your photos.

It's hearing from you again.

Maybe next time it's for an engagement session.

Or your wedding.

Or because there's a tiny pair of baby shoes by the front door.

Maybe your toddler suddenly isn't a toddler anymore.

Whatever brings you back, I'd love to celebrate it with you.

I don't just want to photograph one season of your life.

I want to be the person you think of every time life gives you another reason to celebrate.

What Makes My Photography Different

There are a lot of photographers in Maryville, but my approach is intentionally different.

Hi, I'm Victoria, the heart behind VictoriaT. Photography.

I specialize in capturing life's biggest moments and everything in between in a soft, timeless, and genuine way. Whether you're saying "I do," welcoming a new baby, celebrating a graduation, or simply updating your family photos, my goal is to create images that feel natural, joyful, and true to you. No awkward posing, no pressure to be perfect, just real moments you'll love looking back on.

Timeless & True to You

Trends fade, but a photo of your family laughing never goes out of style. Every gallery is edited to look like real life, not a filter. From newborns to graduates, this is photography that ages well, the same way your memories do.

Simple & Relaxed

No big production, no list of poses to remember. Just you, showing up as you are, while I capture whatever actually happens, the giggles, the chaos, the in between moments most people rush right past.

A little about how I work

I’m not going to line everyone up and ask you to smile at me the whole time.

I’ll probably ask you to:

  • get a little closer than feels natural

  • walk, move, and interact instead of standing still

  • focus on each other more than the camera

I’m always watching for the in-between moments, the way your kid reaches for your hand, the quick glance between you and your partner, the small things that actually tell your story.

That’s what I want you to remember.

  • "I can’t express how happy I am with the outcome of my family photos, I have 4 little including a 3 month old and she captured such precious memories for us, my kids felt so comfortable with her she’s amazing with kids so I’m so grateful to her. ❤️❤️"

    -Fatha

  • “Victoria has beautifully captured our girls best moments and milestones that we now get to keep forever. She’s patient and attentive. I appreciate her dedication and hard work!”

    -Tami

  • “Victoria did such an amazing job! My kids were not exactly patient but she was. She managed to capture our family beautifully despite my one year old not wanting to do anything besides run around. She has such a wonderful eye for the perfect location and shot. Will definitely be back as the years progress with these three sassy boys.”

So... Where Should We Take Photos?

The location is part of the story too.

Maybe you want wildflowers and golden light. A bright, beautiful studio. Historic architecture. A quiet park where your kids have room to run. Or maybe you want to dress up and walk through downtown with absolutely nowhere you need to be.

As a Maryville photographer serving Knoxville and East Tennessee, I've collected a few favorite photography locations that work beautifully for maternity, family, couples, engagement, and portrait sessions.

Here are a few places I love:

Broadway Avenue | Downtown Maryville, TN

For something with a little more personality.

Downtown Maryville gives us storefronts, sidewalks, brick, interesting architecture, and that casual walking-around-town feeling that works SO well when you don't want your photos to feel overly traditional.

Best for: couples, engagement, maternity and portraits.

Maryville College | Maryville, TN

One of my favorite options when you want beautiful scenery without leaving Maryville.

Maryville College gives us gorgeous trees, open green spaces, pathways, and beautiful architecture, which means we can create plenty of variety without traveling from place to place.

Best for: families, couples, maternity, engagement and portraits.

Bicentennial Park | Maryville, TN

Simple, green and relaxed.

Bicentennial Park in Maryville is a great choice when you want natural outdoor photos with plenty of room to walk, play and let the session unfold without feeling too posed.

Best for: families, maternity, couples and relaxed portraits.

The Holmstead Studio | Knoxville, TN

If you want something a little more styled, The Holmstead Studio gives us beautiful indoor spaces, natural light, fields and multiple settings to work with during one session.

It's especially beautiful when you want your photos to feel soft, intimate and a little elevated.

Best for: maternity, couples, engagement, family and bridal portraits.

Knoxville Botanical Garden | Knoxville, TN

Flowers, greenery, stone, pathways and so many little corners to explore.

The Knoxville Botanical Garden gives us tons of variety and changes beautifully throughout the seasons, making it one of my favorite outdoor photography locations in Knoxville.

Best for: maternity, families, couples, engagement and portraits.

The Bleak House | Knoxville, TN

Historic, elegant and a little more dressed up.

With its beautiful architecture and gardens, The Bleak House in Knoxville is perfect when you want your photos to feel timeless and romantic.

Best for: engagement, couples, maternity, bridal and formal portraits.

The White Room Studio | Knoxville, TN

Bright, simple and completely indoors.

The White Room Studio in Knoxville is a beautiful option when you want a clean, intimate look without worrying about the weather. It also keeps the focus exactly where it belongs: on you.

Best for: maternity, couples, families and portraits.

Sequoyah Hills Park | Knoxville, TN

Big trees, open spaces and beautiful golden-hour light.

Sequoyah Hills Park is perfect for sessions where we want room to move, play, walk and create those natural in-between photos I love so much.

Best for: families, maternity, couples and engagement sessions.

Or... somewhere completely different.

These are my favorites, not your only options.

Your backyard. Your favorite coffee shop. Your family's property. Downtown. A field. Your home. The place you had your first date.

If there's somewhere that already feels like your place, I want to hear about it.

I photograph sessions throughout Maryville, Knoxville and East Tennessee, and I'm always happy to explore somewhere new.

Tell me what you want your photos to feel like, and we'll find the place that fits.

Please note: Some studios, gardens, and private properties require an additional photography or rental fee. I'll always let you know about any location fees before we finalize your session.

A Few Things People Usually Ask

What kind of sessions do you offer?
Family sessions, maternity, newborn, milestones, couples and engagements, graduations, and small, intimate weddings or events. If it's a season of life worth remembering, I probably photograph it.

Where are you located, and how far do you travel?
I'm based in Maryville and serve families throughout Knoxville and the surrounding East Tennessee area. If you're outside that range, just reach out. I'm often happy to travel for the right session.

Do you photograph in a studio, outdoors, or at home?
All three. Some families love an outdoor location, some prefer the comfort of home, and a studio works great too. We'll figure out what fits your family during booking.

My kids don't sit still for photos. Is that a problem?
Not even a little. Most of my favorite sessions involve kids who refuse to cooperate at first. We just go with it, and that's usually where the best photos come from.

How do I book a session?
Head to the Book Now page, pick the type of session you're interested in, and we'll go from there. I'll walk you through everything once we're in touch.
